St. Augustine and The Haunted Lighthouse

I love old cities and towns for their wonderful stories and quaint shops. I had the opportunity to visit the lovely little city of St. Augustine for my 41st birthday. To be perfectly honest I had no idea that it was considered the oldest city in the United States. All I had ever heard about this city was how beautiful it was and that it had a haunted lighthouse. I’ll explain a little more about the lighthouse in a subsequent paragraph. A friend of mine wanted to spend the weekend in the quaint little city, and since my birthday fell on the weekend, we made it a nice little celebration.

They heard disembodied voices, footsteps, etc. If you have ever watched this show, you know that they air whatever they catch on camera or audio recorders to prove that it happened. There are 219 spiraled steps to the top. I tried to walk them all, but I stopped about half way up. My bad knee wouldn’t let me go further. Another interesting fact about this lighthouse is that it is still a working lighthouse. Continue reading “St. Augustine and The Haunted Lighthouse”
